No, don't even go there. The create_tarball_kf5.rb script in kde-dev-scripts
is good enough. All that's needed is to add a config section to the config
file, something like:

[calligra]
gitModule   = yes
gitTag      = v2.9.89
mainmodule  = calligra
submodule   = krita
version     = 2.9.89
translations= yes
docs        = no
kde_release = no
