You know, we cannot assume that. If we support certain minimal version
of KDElibs, we assume people can have them installed.
People always use various versions of KDE or even no KDE. We're open
to them, aren't we? For many, Kubuntu LTS 12.04 is the choice because
long time support is their value.
Recently Steam shows how often people upgrade (result: not always).
>From my stats of Kexi usage people still stick to whatever their
distros provide, sometimes that's Calligra 2.4 with old KDE
compilation or Ubuntu desktop.
I would argue to rename the conflicting icons to calligra prefix, and
update the .desktop files and the code accordingly.
