The instruction for compiling from source are here
https://community.kde.org/Amarok/Development/Compiling
But (there is always a but, isn't it?), from my experience it is not a
straight forward processes.
I succeed to compile in Kubuntu 24.04 with KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.11
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.115.0
Qt Version: 5.15.13
Kernel Version: 6.8.0-31-generic (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11
The main problem I had that it complains for the lack of some libraries
(in fact a lot!). Every lacking library was in my machine, turns up that
what was missing was the "dev" library (<library_name>-dev).
Every time the compiling process stop with an error was due to a missing
library-dev. Once I added the "-dev" library the compiling process goes
until the next missing library.
At the end it was compiled, successfully installed and working.
Final note, I purged that installation and put the ubuntu package
created by Pedro, that works like a charm.
Last final note, I recall, at least for debian based distributions,
there programs for installing package from other distributions (alien
one of them). May be you can get the .deb package and convert it to your
package format.
(here is the ppa for the kubuntu distribution package:
https://launchpad.net/~pgomes/+archive/ubuntu/amarok )
Hope I might help
Raúl
