Hi, sorry about the inconvenience.

This behaviour is particularly strange and I've haven't heard of somebody else 
being affected by this. The first suspect is always the sound system: Phonon. We 
now have a set of supported backends that we test against:

 * phonon-vlc 0.6.1 (or newer)
 * phonon-gstreamer 4.6.2 (or newer)

Please make sure you use one of these (including the version!) and if so, try 
switching to the other one.
