Visualization has not yet been "ported" to Amarok 2.x. I'm working on an 
Visualization applet for Amarok at the moment but that will still take some 
time. If you're using pulseaudio you can have a look at VSXu 
(http://vsxu.com/) which will be my visualization backend for the applet 
anyway.
