Visualizations/Equalizer

Hi,
I am trying to use Amarok 2.2.0 on ubuntu. I have two questions please.

1) I'd like to have visualizations and I have installed
libvisual-0.4-plugins, however I see no menu option to enable them.
Where might it be?

2) I am using the xine backend, however, the Equalizer menu option is
greyed out. How can I enable it?
