As a sidenote, there's also Clementine;

"Clementine is a modern music player and library organiser. Clementine
is a port of Amarok 1.4, with some features rewritten to take
advantage of Qt4."

Sadly it also notes "iPod and MP3 player support" under features not
supported yet. Might be something to keep an eye on though.
