That should (in theory) work.
You should be able to find the 1.4.10 source tarball on any KDE
download mirror.
Note that you'll need Qt3 development packages as well, as Amarok 1.x
is built against Qt3.

I haven't tried it, though, so I'm not sure whether any problems are
to be expected.
