-lwrap and a GIT version

Hey Group;

I down loaded a git version last night. and it seems I have never seen 
this new error before.
It is "-lwrap" which seems to be a missing part of gcc according to 
google.  Is it alright to remove -lwrap using "grep -R lwrap *".
