I think in foobar and some other programs they're called plug-ins. Just
another option. Probably even more standard than 'add-on'.
Of course, script has been the standard in amarok for awhile. There's
something to be said about not changing conventions without good reason.
Is this a good reason? I don't know.
I agree that 'internet' is a bad place for the menu option though.

Andi, I'll bring your first point to the list for discussion. I think
you are right that "script", although technically the most correct
term, is possibly geeky and off-putting.
However, the Internet Services doesn't sound like a good place for
scripts/addons/plugins. All of our Internet Services are places where
music or other sound files can be found.
What do you say, developers?
