i don't think it's about ksycoca - try "amarok --debug --nofork" (maybe twice, 
there a note about this), see whether dr. knoqui shows up for a backtrace. if 
not and you've gdb, use "gdb --args amarok --nofork", wait for the crash, then 
enter "bt" to get a backtrace
