Well in your case the assert is happening in pulseaudio, not even in
Xine or Phonon. I suggest poking whoever maintains PulseAudio on
FreeBSD.

PulseAudio is developed by Red Hat so I'm guessing FreeBSD isn't their
#1 priority. :)
