I'm not aware of this behavior...maybe it's a Phonon issue?  What
backend are you using?  (I'll have to let others comment in more detail
since others are more knowledgeable about the engine/Phonon.)

This was a feature called Dynamic Collection, and it will be back in
Amarok 2.1, which just entered feature freeze.

Again I'd like to know: what Phonon backend are you using, and what
Linux distribution?  There are a number of issues with the GStreamer
backend, for instance, which is the default in some distributions
(unfortunately).  Please try to ensure you have the Xine backend
installed and see if this fixes things.

Sure will.  Look for much better Last.fm support in 2.1.
