db volume scaling

hi all,

i submitted two patches [1] for changing the volume slider of amarok
from a percent scale to a decibel scale. instead of scaling from 0% to
100%, it scales from -60db to 0db, while -60db is interpreted as 0%/-inf
db. the range is open for discussion, though.

i have been testing the patch on my machine and adjusting the volume is
way more intuitive for me, than it was before ...

would be curious to hear comments about the patch ...
