No mp3 sound in amarok2, but works in amarok1

I guess the problem here is gnome+kde combination which exists in fedora by
default.Amarok 1.4x series can play with the existing xine engines but
amarok 1.9 needs phonon-xine backend.You must have used gnome first then kde
4 .Try removing the gstreamer plugins for mp3 and see if it falls back to
phonon backend.I had this problem when I installed kde4 on ubuntu...A little
removing of packages helped me.If possible try to reinstalled the xine
packages.Something will work surely.One more problem could be pulseaudio
which is there by default in fedora.But mostly its the gstreamer - alsa
thing that may be worrying your sound.Try removing the gstreamer ones and
see if it works. good luck!
