Robert Krig sent a message using the contact form at
http://amarok.kde.org/en/contact.

I setup Amarok on a friends computer. She likes to organise all her music
through playlists. Due to a new hardrive, the directories containing her
music have changed. Now all of the playlists can't find the actual tracks
anymore since the'yre still looking for them in the old place.

It seems the only solution is to delete each playlist and start over.

Is there perhaps a better way? The tracks themselves haven't changed. Still
the same with unchanged ID3 tags and all that. I also tried updating and
renewing the amarok music database, but to no avail.

In case there is no easy way to fix this, here's a proposal:

It would be nice if whenever amarok is not able to find a song in a playlist,
that it scans its database and simply updates the playlist with the current
path information. Failing that, perhaps a left click on the playlist or on
the missing tracks with an option to either have amarok search for them, or
give a direct path where they can be found.
It would be nice if you wouldnt have to do this for every single one, but
simply point amarok to a top-level directory with all the tracks. And amarok
searches the specific folder and all its subfolders and updates the paths in
the playlist accordingly.
