If you just change things via the GUI then do a full rescan it should
"just work"(tm). (I asked a similar question recently).

AFT (Amarok File Tracking) should realise that the files in the old
location are the same as those in the new location and just adjust the
db to show the correct paths :) (tho' backup your db before trying just
in case ;))
