Amarok 1.4.8, mysql, and 8 to 10 s hangs every track change or rating

Don't know, are you sure you run the correct binaries ?
I've used the same command as you, followed by
make
sudo make install

and then just run amarok on a terminal

I thing html creating and rendering is a bit slow and maybe some Mysql query
are too heavy, so maybe nothing can be done to improve performance with this
configuration.
Am I right ?

Hope plasma rendering will be fast and smooth, keep going for the
development of amarok 2, and make it the best player ever !
