Support for different digital media players

Is there a list of digital media players (DMP, often referred to as MP3 player) supported by amaroK and what features are included in that support?

I ask because I am planning on buying a DMP and a critical factor in my decision of what to get will be the ability to get tracks onto it and organize the tracks into playlists without WMP10.  For models which do not support standalone organization of playlists, like Sansa, this means having some other application which can transfer playlists, which means amaroK.
