As far as I'm aware, the only way to do this is to modify the source yourself.

I've just done this, and it seems to work on mine. Build amarok
according to the instructions here:
http://amarok.kde.org/wiki/Download:SVN

But after you do the "svn up amarok" command, open up the file
amarok/src/Options4.ui file. On line 134 you'll see
"<number>10000</number>" which is the default max length. Change it to
your new max length in ms (in your case, 600000), and save.

You can then resume the build process as before.
