Abstract idea of Song instead of pure file management

Another thought:

There should be some sort of indication what source (Preferred Source:
"MP3 File", "FLAC File", etc) is currently used for a certain song.
My thoughts:

1. Tooltips on collection list (do these exist?) Add Preferred
Source to other data here.

2. Tooltip on systemtray icon.

3. Basic information in the context view (add near the Kbps/other
miscellaneous song data)

4. Some sort of color-coding (color-code playlist entries, or
collection entries?) Either whole-shade the entries, or provide a
gradient hue which accents each row in the list, or perhaps a very
minimal indicator (ex., a small triangle stub on each row in the
playlist, color by type: green for FLAC, red for MP3, blue for OGG,
white for WAV, etc).

It should be possible to, with minimum effort, find the current Source
information (hence the tooltips ideas). A type of color-coding is
much more evident than a tooltip and has immediate presence, but must
be kept minimal so as not to disrupt the user interface into a burst
of rainbows (see: Amarok 1.4 moodbars).
