We did hear from an Asus developer recently who said that the staff at 
Xandros are generally overworked so it is taking time to get various 
packages updated.  (It's a commercial entity, one would have thought 
Asus would have vetted this...)

Putting pressure on them both should help.  I did recommend to them that 
they update Amarok already, due to many many bugfixes.  User demands 
will not hurt  :-)
