WMA Crashes collection scanner on Fedora 8

It seems myself and a variety of others are not able to complete a
collection scan on Fedora 8 with WMA files.

Sorry, the Collection Scan was aborted, since too many problems were
encountered.
Advice: A common source for this problem is a broken 'TagLib' package
on your computer. Replacing this package may help fixing the issue.
The following files caused problems:

Versions:

amarok-1.4.7-7.fc8
amarok-extras-nonfree-1.4.4-1.lvn7
amarok-visualisation-1.4.7-7.fc8

Fedora 7 worked just fine with the same collection set.

Is this a known problem? I am unable to build the SVN, configure is
unable to find QT libs, even when passing the correct paths to
configure.
