Yeah, ok. It reads the files from the standard locations and builds
its own database with the ID3 tags from these files. This all
happens on the device. Every time you upload new files, the
rockbox firmware detects that (dunno how it does that. Maybe
file modification times) and rebuilds its database.
So the only thing a file uploader (Amarok) has to do, is to
put the files into the standard locations. rockbox ignores the
generated itunes database.

It works great with this patch on my rockpod.

BTW: I can only recommend rockbox and encourage everyone to
try it. It adds real useful functionality to your ipod.
You can even play doom1 on it. :)
