Advanced shuffle / auto-insert tracks

Have you played with the Smart Playlists and Dynamic Playlists?  Smart  
playlists let you define criteria to pick what music you want, like  
song rating, length, artist, etc etc etc.  You can require a song to  
have any or all of the selected characteristics.  Dynamic playlists  
take an existing playlist or smart playlist and randomly add songs  
from it.  So you can define a smart playlist to get whatever songs  
you'd like to play, and then make a dynamic playlist that uses that  
smart playlist for the content.

It's not as complicated as it sounds, and it seems like it might be  
just what you're looking for.
