Ben Pope sent a message using the contact form at

Way back when, in the early years of this decade there was a good ol'
winamp3. I heard rumors of it being ported to linux. That effort never
bore fruit. I found some source once a few years ago but... now to the
point. If you guys were in need of inspiration for a plasmoid, I would
check out some of the skins that were released for winamp on windows. The
skins were freeform after version 3.
I remember MMD3 being one of the best thought out skin layouts I had
ever seen, compact elegant so on and so forth. There are some interesting
ideas I think in the design of some of skins... sliding drawers, simple
visualizers, i think some were done in pixmap.. i can't remember it was so
long ago. Most of all I just wanted to thank you for all of your time and
effort, in making one of the my favorite pieces of open source software.
Thanks.
