Actually, on the user side of things, it'd be even easier than that, if an 
option were to go onto the Appearance tab of Settings.  Simply tie some stars 
to some KColorDialogs with a checkbox to enable the whole thing.  You could 
actually do it in very little space, vertically speaking.
