Is there any way to make the OSD really transparent (e.g. with composite extension)

Hi,

Anyone got a patch/method for achieving this?

I guess you could use something devilspie/compiz-quinnstorm state plugin 
or similar but I don't think there is anything to identify the OSD 
specifically in the window title (e.g. it doesn't start "Amarok - OSD" 
or something) and thus no way to create a rule to set transparency.

Anyone got any ideas on this?
