I rechecked the code and my previous assumption that yauap was not installed 
is probably wrong. The engine would never have reached the point where it 
would give out such error messages.

The problem is probably that the yauap app needs some time to startup while 
amarok already tries to scan your home dir for new media files.

Please  try the attached patch. I added a workaround.
