Hi Mark,
I went to a party and I was so unhappy seeing iTunes sucking so hard! ;-)
So on saturday I'm giving a party, where Amarok will rock the sound! Thus
here is a little patch that pleases so much my ears...

This patch prettifies the Crossfading for the Xine engine:
 - honours the 'Crossfade Length' setting precisely (was fixed ~7s before)
 - uses a Dj style mixing profile (sounds better (FOR ME))
 - cleans up the code (removing a FIXME ;-)

Note on the fading:
previously there was some really clever code that generated volumes and
sleep-gaps and while one channel was coming down exponentially, the other was
going up. unfortunately this couldn't be fixed to happen in 'crossfade
length' time and imho, in the middle of the fade, the volume was too low
(down to 1/4 of the volume). It was like track1_down -> silence -> track2_up.

However volume profile is completely adjustable to one's needs and the one
I'm using now has the following profile (ASCII-artist mode):
___ ___
   \ /
    \ /
     X
    / \
   / \
  / \
 / \
/ \

I hope it will mix your music good too,
p.s.: gonna make a mass-lyrics fetcher now (you know.. groupies.. ;-))
Enrico
