ATF safety

I was just telling my friend about this bug as he's using beta1 on his 
system and I was concerned that he'd have these issues.

I had a look round the amarok website and realisied that beta1 was 
rolled out on 2006-07-30. This is a week after the bug was introduced 
according to the bug report.

Does this mean the beta1 is affected? Perhaps some BFW (Big Fat Warning) 
is needed on the site as I was able to link through to e.g. Gentoo, 
Mandriva etc. download packages some of which state:
"This new version is the first to include the Advanced Tag Features 
(ATF) system which is perfect for people with big and constantly 
evolving music collection."

I would perhaps take some more evasive action for those people coming 
along and deciding to take ATF for a whirl on the beta series....
