Wiki Signatures

Hello all,

Valorie suggested that I e-mail regarding the signature features in
MediaWiki.

Firstly, MediaWiki automatically expands four consecutive tildes ("~~~~") to
your username and a timestamp.  This is usually (and should always be) used
suffixing a comment-like edit (e.g., on a talk page or on a RFC/proposal).
(As a side note, three tildes expands to just your username, and five
expands to just a timestamp.)

Also, there is such a thing as a "signature bot" that will do the above for
you if you forget.  Wikipedia, for example, has "SineBot" that does this.
Such a bot is not necessarily needed, but could be useful.
