Hello all,<br><br>Valorie suggested that I e-mail regarding the signature features in MediaWiki.<br><br>Firstly, MediaWiki automatically expands four consecutive tildes (&quot;~~~~&quot;) to your username and a timestamp.  This is usually (and should always be) used suffixing a comment-like edit (e.g., on a talk page or on a RFC/proposal).  (As a side note, three tildes expands to just your username, and five expands to just a timestamp.)<br>

<br>Also, there is such a thing as a &quot;signature bot&quot; that will do the above for you if you forget.  Wikipedia, for example, has &quot;SineBot&quot; that does this.  Such a bot is not necessarily needed, but could be useful.<br>
