[2.0 Marketing] Analysis

So, Amarok 2.0 is nearing and we should start think about how to get more
users, and how to get more users in the new market segments Mac and Windows.

Particularly gaining market share on the Mac might not be that easy, since
iTunes is the somewhat music god there. Windows market share is extremly
cluttered, though gaining share there is a fairly easy job as the average
windows user just belives us when we say Amarok is the best ;-)

Anyway, for both of the marktes we have to redefine our promotional
activities (like mac users love sex appeal and windows users love funky
features). To do that we first of all need a proper Marketing Campaign for
the average market, and to do that we need to do analysis of things like
competition and our advantages.

Since I love wiki pages, here is a new one:
http://rokymotion.pwsp.net/wiki/Campaign:2.0/Analysis
featuring the new namespace Campaign:

Max (with the F) and I already did some work in the competition analysis,
but still I want everyone to contribute as much as possible to everything,
since this analysis will guide us to a clear and simple way of telling the
users why they have to use Amarok.

More about the marketing affairs later on.... As of now, everyone contribute
to the Analysis, if you didn't see the link yet, here it is again:
http://rokymotion.pwsp.net/wiki/Campaign:2.0/Analysis, and considering you
currently read the mail the 2nd time and still don't know what it is about
-> http://rokymotion.pwsp.net/wiki/Campaign:2.0/Analysis
