   Hello,

I followed the instructions from
http://amarok.kde.org/wiki/2.0_Development_HowTo to build amarok which
went find but when I try to start it I get the following error message:

Amarok could not find any collection plugins. It is possible that Amarok
is installed under the wrong prefix, please fix your installation using:
$ cd /path/to/amarok/source-code/
$ su -c "make uninstall"
$ cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=`kde4-config --prefix` && su -c "make
install"
$ kbuildsycoca4 --noincremental
$ amarok
More information can be found in the README file. For further assistance
join us at #amarok on irc.freenode.net.

BTW I am doing this on a Fedora 14 installation.

I tried to google it and found
http://amarok.kde.org/blog/archives/833-Installing-Amarok-2-from-SVN-in-your-home-directory.html
which gives pretty much the same method.

I also found some info about removing /var/tmp/*kde* ~/.kde, rebooting
the machine but nothing helped.

What should I do to fix the problem?

  Thanks,

Matthieu
