You can not do that with Telepathy, it's about chat only, like the
chat facebook provides on their site.
What you are talking about is status updates. As far as I know there
is no common web-API for that so you'll have to implement it for each
social network you want to support.

I'm not sure what the benefit is for users, except to annoy their
facebook friends with their badly tagged song updates ;) But who
knows, it's certainly buzzword compliant.
