If someone is going to deal with this I'd appreciate any kind of info
ASAP. Transcoding ties into the various media devices collection
handlers and currently it's all a bit kludgy and half-baked for
various reasons. If something is going to happen soon I'd rather work
on a clean(er) slate than try to add dirty half-solutions.
