There's nothing wrong with throwing it into the app during the
development cycle so that we actually get a feel for using it and its
strengths and warts. That's called dogfooding, and it's generally a good
thing in software development, as opposed to solely relying on design by
committee.

The new toolbar hasn't been put out in a released version (despite what
Google tells you, a beta is not a released version) and we still have
time to modify/change/fix/revert it if we don't like the end product.
