Yes, I have a friend who's a hopeless foobar2000 junkie (he tried to convert
me ... :-P), and he swears by Aqualung on Linux.

I don't think it is a direct competitor to Amarok, it targets a different
demographic, IMHO (the “pro-audio” directed-ethernet-gold-cable people :-P).
