collection not expanding on start

Heya,

since a few days (maybe a week or two, not sure) my local collection
is no longer expanded on start-up. That's quite annoying. Markey said
he's having the same problem.
Who can look into that? Or even better: Who has an idea why it is
broken now? It definitely worked before.
