Equalizer support in Amarok

Greetings,

I would like to ask if anybody is working on equalizer support for
Amarok.
Recently I committed to cvs a patch for phonon xine back-end that makes
equalizer available for this back-end. Gstreamer back-end provide it
also, although
gstreamer seems to be broken and I can't bring it to work in KDE.

If nobody is working on this issue should I prepare a patch or there are
no
plans at all to add equalizer in Amarok ?
