Also, according to the Replay Gain spec, the album gain should be user-
editable, and hence could be different for different tracks.
The spec refers to album and track gain as audiophile and radio gain. The
radio gain (or track gain) make every song the same volume. The audiophile
gain (or album gain) makes every song the "right" volume for the song, a best
approximation of which (for automatic tools) is to keeps songs on the same CD
at the same relative volume.
