I am just as interested in maintaining a git repo of SVN (like ffmpeg does)
as I am in a full migration. Selfishly, I would like to not have a full git
splurge of SVN on my local harddrive (which I did far enough back that
I don't take advantage of Jeff's harddrive doing it).

And X11 and freedesktop are already using git (they skipped svn).
