I listen to very long songs occasionally. This could be hour long mixes, 45
minute ambient tracks, etc. and I would really want to have auto resuming.
Usually, I want enough variation to skip after 60% of the long track and get
back to it later, where "later" could be up to several days.
I could easily forget that I listened to the track earlier and by extension
forget about the saved position. To be honest, I would probably forget about
this entire feature if this would happen.
I'd vote for an option. "Automatically resume long songs", disabled by
default. If a new option is too much for some people, how about creating one
of those "Advanced options" sections in Amarok and move some options in
there? That could make the settings dialog a bit easier to work with.
