<div class="Ih2E3d">Yea I think auto-resume for just any track doesn't make sense. Today I<br></div>
was listening to a 30-minute symphony track and then it was 15:00 so I<br>
switched to NPR. It would really annoy me to have that symphony<br>
started 18 minutes in the next time I play it. But equally I couldn't<br>
care at all if some bookmark was set for it or not.<br></blockquote></div><div><br></div>I listen to very long songs occasionally. This could be hour long mixes, 45 minute ambient tracks, etc. and I would <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;">really</span> want to have auto resuming. Usually, I want enough variation to skip after 60% of the long track and get back to it later, where "later" could be up to several days.<div>
<br></div><div>I could easily forget that I listened to the track earlier and by extension forget about the saved position. To be honest, I would probably forget about this entire feature if this would happen.<div><br></div>
<div><div>I'd vote for an option. "Automatically resume long songs", disabled by default. If a new option is too much for some people, how about creating one of those "Advanced options" sections in Amarok and move some options in there? That could make the settings dialog a bit easier to work with.</div>
