This is a very important feature, but not a big enough job to warrant
a GSoC slot, IMHO.

Musicbrainz does this already.. no need for us to reinvent the wheel,
lets just port the old stuff from 1.4 and improve the UI.


And as for the DAAP stuff.. I agree with what everyone's said. I just
threw DAAP out there because i was familiar with it. My point is just
that Amarok needs to support remote streaming/media server-esque type
features to remain competitive.

Synchronization and this Remote/Media Server stuff are the most
crucial features that fit nicely into a GSOC project, again IMHO.
