During this summer I have implemented support in Phonon (the Qt multimedia 
framework used in Amarok, JuK and DragonPlayer, amongst others) for exporting 
audio data. This in turn enables applications that use Phonon to analyze the 
audio and for example display pretty visualizations or calculate the BPM.
