I've seen it done by a few projects already, and by almost all firefox
addons. I think it's accepted by the majority of software users as
long as you don't do that in a popup. But as with everything, the ones
against it will be the most vocal... Since it will be tucked in an
about dialog even they will have a hard time to find it :) Same is
true for potential donators.
