I think the darker gray CV background contributes to the "my CV looks
like a separate window covering up Amarok" problem that's been
mentioned before on this list.  The white background mockup doesn't
seem to have that symptom though...

I think this may be because there's no dark gray in the now-playing
and collection browser panes on the right and left in
amarok-mockup11.png  Maybe if those parts were darker, that visual
effect would be lessened?  It's not absolutely terrible, but it
doesn't seem to give the entire Amarok window a cohesive feel/theme
either.
