Feedback to the Dot story

We are not going to sort this out by the end of PA4 Release Day. I
think that the Dot story
Thomas, please don't shut up. You are making valid points as you have
done consistently for a long time. I learn a lot from what you bring
to light. The downside of a commitment to self-expression is that it
grants the same to others.
Regarding usability and the research you are doing...
It's unquestionably valuable. I have a different sense of whatever it
is that usability research points to. I have demonstrated Plasma
Active to many people (hundreds probably) who could be considered our
best audience. Despite its foibles, the incessant "Sleeping now"
messages, crashes, having to keep it plugged in because the battery
isn't, people in that audience want it.
In my view, the value of giving an alternative to people who are not
happy with the tablet oligopoly trumps almost all other
considerations. We are not competing with iPad or Samsung Galaxy on
polish, rather we are standing for freedom.
